generally I don't pay attention to the daily deviations of this website or for that matter the descriptions the moderators give towards the DD's they pick, but in this case there needs to be justice.

I know they are merely descriptions...I suppose..but comon...

"pretty" is the worst word conceivable to be related to an artwork. I would be damned if anyone labeled my artwork pretty--not that anyone would, if you've ever seen my work.
"pretty" is as if punching the face of the idea of critique, or perhaps the groin region.
indescribably pretty? nope. not gonna happen.
everything is describable, especially photography. Photography in itself is a description--a representation. you can't escape that fact.


critique is unattainable for deviantart. I wish I saw more of people ripping eachother's artwork apart, not in a fierce way mind you, but in a way that exposes the gut of what people are doing here.

cause i'm sure once the exposed part is made visible, there will be a whole lot of people questioning what art plays in their lives to begin with.
